(NEW!) Live At The Purple Room

(Live Recording, Released 2023) Lucie Arnaz takes us on a musical memoir. With anecdotes and fond memories about her co-stars, directors, and musical collaborators, Lucie offers iconic songs and hidden treasures from some of Broadway’s greatest shows and a look at the backstage magic it takes to create them.

“Recorded live in performance at the Purple Room in Palm Springs, this new album is one of the best cabaret “in concert” albums of the last decade or more. Wisely, Lucie has chosen to record the entire show, talkie bits and all, so one can really get the sense of the work, fully, and hear her audience’s reactions to her skillful storytelling. Dividing the show into two discs to accommodate the 27-ish tracks, one “could” skip through to each song if one wanted, but we implore one not to… at least not the first half dozen times you listen to this one. But as much of a joy as it is to hear Lady Lucie tell her theatre stories, it is the songs where she really shines.” - Bobby Patrick, BroadwayWorld.com

LUCIE LIVE! AT FEINSTEIN'S AT THE NIKO

(Live Recording, Released 2018) A musical journey on the arc of Love and Romance with American Songbook and Broadway favorites from Sammy Cahn to Harry Connick, it's an eclectic mix of fun, fantasy & personal stories.

"I am so excited to have just released my first LIVE solo album, Lucie, LIVE! at Feinstein's at The Nikko. It was recorded at The Nikko Hotel in SanFrancisco September 16th and 17th, 2016.  I think you will find it a very 'unplugged' - a piano only accompaniment featuring just me and my long time partner in crime, my musical director, the amazing arranger/composer, Ron Abel at the piano.

Playing a Michael Feinstein branded club is always a treat as he makes sure they have the most up to date and professional sound system and technical staff anywhere. So getting a recording of this intimate show was truly a gift and I am so grateful Michael has allowed me to release it." -LucieA

LATIN ROOTS

(Studio Recording) “These are the rhythms of my soul”, Lucie Arnaz says of her LATIN ROOTS CD released on the LML Music label. And indeed it is. An eclectic celebration of her musical heritage, Lucie Arnaz playfully wends her way through some pop contemporary south of the border sounds, enduring American standards, sensually enhanced by a Brazilian accent or basted by a bossa nova beat, takes on the fiery Latin classics of her father, Desi Arnaz, includes a song penned with his grandson, her musician-composer son, Joe Luckinbill and his godmother, her longtime collaborator, Grammy winning artist, Madeline Stone and a tune her father wrote for her mother which has never been recorded before.

Lucie Arnaz - Latin Roots (LML Music)
It's difficult to not be seduced by this delectable and highly personal new disc from Arnaz, who is paying a loving tribute to the music that her father Desi Arnaz played and helped popularize. She leads off with a terrific take on Arthur Schwartz and Howard Dietz' "You and the Night and the Music," where the Latin rhythms inherent to Schwartz' melody have been enhanced to glorious effect; moreover, with the Spanish translation of Dietz' lyric, one truly feels as if one has been transported back to a time when entertainers such as Desi were all the rage in nightclubs across the country. Other tunes that echo this opening track are Irving Berlin's "I'll See You in C-U-B-A" and "El Cumbanchero," in which the band actually uses her father's arrangement. (full review)
