Lucie Arnaz To Keynote Jewish Federation's "A Women's Affair"

Lucie Arnaz, star of stage and screen, will be the keynote speaker this year at "A Women's Affair," the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia's annual community-wide event. It will be held at the Center City Philadelphia Marriott on Thursday evening, May 21.

Sponsored by the Women's Division, "A Women's Affair" is one of the Jewish Federation's premier events. Past programs have attracted upwards of 1,000 guests.

Lucie Arnaz, who was recently honored by Jewish Women's International, is known worldwide asan actress, entertainer and producer. She will speak about how she juggles her professional, personal and volunteer life — along with how to preserve a family history and the challenge of surviving success.

Also speaking at "A Women's Affair" will be Marina Furman and her daughter, Aliya. Ms. Furman, who works with new immigrants at an absorption center in Israel, was born in Kiev, where, as a Jew, she experienced extensive harassment. Despite her pain and her past, Ms. Furman is a funny and charming storyteller who will discuss her experiences as well as the importance of the work done by the Jewish Federation worldwide.

The Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia provides social service, education, health and cultural services in the Philadelphia area, in Israel and around the world through its 26 constituent agencies and 34 beneficiary organizations.

Couvert for "A Women's Affair" is $60. Dietary laws will be observed. A minimum contribution of $80 to the Federation Allied Jewish Appeal campaign is requested. For young women between the ages of 13 and 25, the requested minimum contribution is $18.
